1. What made you want to start running? I think I’ve always been really passionate about nature and exploring and a great way for me to experience wildlife was running outside. When I picked up this hobby, I realized I became more zealous so I decided to take up cross country and track in 8th grade.

2. How do you stay motivated to keep going during a difficult run? When things are getting harder, all I have to think about is Jesus running by my side and cheering me on. I also run with my teammates in mind knowing that if I didn’t give my 100%, I would not only let myself down, but my teammates as well. My teammates have truly kept me motivated every day when I don’t feel well, feel like running, or just giving up.
3. Do you prefer cross country or track? Why? I prefer cross country because I think our team is closer and I think I run more competitively during cross season.
4. What is the best advice you have ever received from a coach? You are bigger than your worries and fears.
5. Do you plan to continue running after high school? I will be running after high school but I don’t plan to run in college.
6. What advice would you give to incoming freshmen? Find what you love and what you’re passionate about and no matter what sport, activity, club, (etc.) that is, try your absolute best in everything.
7. What are you most looking forward to for senior year? I’m so excited for senior sunrise with all my friends and graduation.
