1. How long have you been in cheer?
I have cheered for 9 years total. I did competitive cheer for 7 years and school cheer for 5 years (some of the years overlapped).
2. How has cheer had an impact on your life?
Cheer has had an impact on my life in many ways. It has opened doors for me and given me opportunities I would have never imagined. I was able to experience an NCA win last year, camp awards, and even placing top 10 in UIL. Cheer has allowed me to perform, meet new people, and be involved at my school. I will be forever grateful about the impact cheer has made on my life.
3. Who inspires you the most?
As a Christian, Jesus is my biggest inspiration. The way he was able to handle any situation with grace has inspired me to do the same. My morals and the way I am as a person is built off of him, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without him. Another person who inspires me is mom. She has always made it a priority to show up to any of my games and performances and is truly my biggest supporter.
4. What have you learned from being in cheer?
Cheer has taught me many valuable lessons such as time management, self control, patience, and the importance of hardwork.
5. What’s the best part about being in executive student council?
To me, the best part about being in Executive Student Council is that I am able to directly interact with the student body. I am given the opportunity to help plan, coordinate, and come up with ideas that will have a positive impact on the current and future generations that attend Walnut Grove.

6. What’s your favorite high school memory?
I have two favorite high school memories. The first one was being able to volunteer with Hope Squad for the elementary school field days my sophomore year. The second memory was traveling to Arkansas for the first football game and then ending with a big win!
7. What are you most looking forward to for the rest of senior year?
Though it will be bittersweet, I am looking forward to all of the senior week activities and graduation!
8. What are your plans for after high school?
After Highschool, I will be attending the University of Oklahoma where I am majoring in marketing. After College, I will attend cosmetology school in hopes to open my own salon and create my own product line.
9. What is a piece of advice you would give to underclassmen?
One piece of advice I would give to underclassmen is to be grateful and appreciative for any opportunity/experience you are given. In addition to that, I would say to never forget to say thank you. There are so many people that work behind the scenes to allow access to opportunities many other students around the world don’t have. My other piece of advice is to be kind to everyone as you never truly know what the person next to you is going through.
