“Fuller stands outside a small town in Utah, ready to hit the slopes.”

Haley Fuller is a senior, in school she focuses on maintaining her grades, and studying but outside of school is where she participates in many activities. Outside of working Haley loves hanging out with friends, and you will typically see her at a basketball game, or exploring town.

“Fuller cheered on the Wildcats, during football season, sitting in the stands with friends, and posing celebrating a Wildcat victory.”
  1. How do you manage your time effectively between two jobs, AP classes, and  schoolwork?

Fuller: “I mean, it’s pretty hard, but I use a planner on my phone calendar to keep track of everything. I also try to get my homework done during the free time I have, like lunch or breaks at work.

2. What strategies or tools do you use to stay organized and keep track of your responsibilities?

Fuller:  I love using a planner or like color coding everything. I use Google calendar the most, and I set reminders for deadlines and shifts so I’d make sure not to forget anything

3. Do you ever feel overwhelmed, and if so, how do you handle stress or burnout?

Fuller:  I get overwhelmed quite a lot so I like to take small breaks, listen to music, and talk to friends, sometimes I just need a night to like reset, you know.

4. What motivates you to take on such a heavy workload, and what keeps you going?

Fuller:  I want to save up for college, and I’m trying to be more independent. I also like being busy as well. What keeps me going is knowing that I’ll have a break eventually, even if it’s just like on the weekend.

5. How do you balance your social life and personal time with such a busy schedule?

Fuller:  I try to plan a hangout in advance or combine things together, like maybe studying, and grabbing some food, something simple.

6. What kind of jobs do you work, and what does each role involve?

Fuller: I work at this smoothie place, It’s called Clean Juice, and then I also work at this restaurant called Windmills. At clean juice. I’m a shift lead, I have the key to lock up, and I open up in the morning, then at the restaurant, I’m just a hostess.

7. How many hours a week do you work, and how do you fit that into your school schedule?

Fuller: With the first job, it’s probably around 12 hours, and then the second job is eight hours.

8. Do your jobs ever interfere with homework or studying for AP classes? If so, how do you handle it?

Fuller: Sometimes they do, I try to do my homework before the shifts or study in advance when it’s necessary, but if it gets too much, I might ask for a little bit less hours to work if needed.
