Formal Dresses line in racks at Runway Fashion House in the Gates of Prosper. Runway sells dresses of all kinds for many different occasions, like homecoming and prom. Dresses are documented to ensure the same dress won’t be sold from their store for the same school's prom.

West Grove is anchored by Whole Foods, which broke ground in March and is set to open sometime this year. Chick-fil-A opened its doors in March 2024. “I’m so excited because I haven’t been to Whole Foods in forever, and I love all of the stuff they have,” senior Chloe Dias said. “They have so many hot foods, soups, salad bars, and even a smoothie shop. I could live there. I also can’t wait to have access to higher quality produce on days the Frisco Market isn’t open.”

As it sits on a shelf in the pottery studio, the ceramic turtle serves as a decorative reminder of the store's name. The name "Speckled Turtle" was chosen by Gilbert because turtles were the most popular pieces to paint at her previous pottery business.
Local pottery business offers creativity to community

Fire trucks and emergency response teams are at the warehouse for the nonprofit Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors. This establishment burned down on Jan. 18th at 9 p.m. The fire spread from the adjoining suite to the nonprofit warehouse. When the sprinklers turned on it ruined the building even more. The building has been rendered unusable.

Shaarika Kaul is a senior at Walnut Grove High School. She is the Media Editor for Wildcats Wired. This is her first year on staff, but her fourth year in journalistic media. She has previously served as a reporter on Hill Top News at Rock Hill High School, the associate producer on WG-TV, and the copy editor on The Standard Yearbook. Shaarika is also an officer in both Executive Student Council and HOSA. She loves listening to music, travelling, and going on coffee runs with her friends!
