Many students signed up to donate blood to their community through the Carter BloodCare drive held during school this semester. Each donor felt the accomplishment and positivity that came from serving their community, whether or not they were initially motivated by gaining medical experience or earning a graduation cord.
Who: Dual Credit Certified Nursing Assistants and Carter BloodCare. Students eligible to donate must be 17 or older.
What: Carter BloodCare Semi-Annual Blood Drive
When: This drive took place on October 3, 2023
Where: In the Walnut Grove High School Large Group Instruction (LGI) room.
Students age 17 and older have another opportunity to donate blood coming up next semester. Those who successfully donate blood at least two times earn a red cord to wear during graduation.
