With the intention of bringing joy and comforting patients, the student council plans to donate stuffed animals to the Cooks Children’s Medical Center by hosting the Teddy Bear Toss, and collecting donations throughout the week. The Toss will be held on Feb. 6 during halftime of the varsity boys home game that begins at 7:15 p.m.

After strumming her guitar, Gertrude McFuzz cries over her featherless tail. Protrayed by Sarah Jane Hanchey, the character goes to the doctor to grow out her tail. Its fun to act in a kids show because you can just clown around a little bit, sophomore Hanchey said. This show is really expressive and fun for all ages.

After handing out a flyer, Isabella Bowden smiles encouragingly to Wildcat parents. The Mental Health Club hopes to promote well-being for all students at The Grove. Its a really good opportunity to spread awareness for about topics like anxiety depression and stress, and make it known that its normal to have those things, Bowden said. Club members try to break the stigma behind mental health and make an impact on the Wildcat community.

As they sit on a prop boat, sophomore Corvus Mckay and senior Kaelin Eckels perform the last scene of Anatomy of Grey. Mckay portrays the role of Homer, a character about to sail off and start a life with Eckels character, June. I liked playing Homer because he is so simple as a person, McKay said, It was an outlook I have never looked at before. I loved playing a character like that.

Wildcats Wired
Hardys Cafe, run by the culinary program and head chefs Brett Claypoole and Matthew Denman, is officially open to the school. The cafe opened in October and is open on A-days in the morning, before school, and lunchtime, 12:30-2:30. Located by the culinary classrooms and kitchens, this establishment provides food for not just students and staff, but they offer catering services, and many other things.

This was a saying used by former coach at Prosper High School, Timothy Hardy, who passed away in 2018 “He was a longtime coach in the district who passed away not too long ago from cancer, so it is our way to honor him,” said Brett Claypoole (Culinary arts instructor). So, really, this cafe is a way to recognize and show appreciation towards Coach Hardy.
